This record is part of volume 6 of Buyreggae’s exclusive Treasure Isle 7 inch reissue series, bringing back the legendary productions of Duke Reid. His backing band led by saxophonist Tommy McCook laid out the foundation for various versions that DJs “toasted” over.
This series is dedicated to the most famous DJ that found his break through at Duke Reid’s Treasure Isle studio. Daddy U Roy, the innovator and godfather of dancehall, who sadly passed away in February 2021 is featured on 3 of the 5 records in this series. Accompanied by Nora Dean and Alton Ellis this series is further rounded up by an instrumental version of Winston Wright as well as 2 dub versions by Erroll Brown.
