In 1985 I had a home digital recording studio popularly known in Lagos as Klix Studios. I also had musical instruments and musicians under my employment. On one of my trips to London I came back with a Jamaican drummer called «Beejay», a guitarist called «Walter» and another guitarist from Cameroon called «Constant». I had also a keyboardist called «Micki Hands» and a Ghanaian Organist called «Joe». My band and studio was very popular in Lagos and beyond, and at that time Reggae music from Jamaica dominated the Nigerian music scene.
One day three boys came into my outfit. Their real names and aliases were «Uche Nwosu» aka «Field Marshall Lyrics» the lead vocalist, «Tobby Mbaebie» aka «Puppa Flagger» the keyboardist and rapper of the group and the third guy was «Micki Ekerete Mkpa» aka «Jah Mirah» the bassist. They told me that their group name is «Two Low For Zero» and they wanted me to produce their music. I listened to their songs raw because they didn’t have a demo of their songs, and I gave them my bill. They didn’t have the money for the production and therefore begged me to record one track for them so that they can play it to Tobby ‘s (Puppa Flagger) uncle chief Nathaniel…..
