We’re delighted to welcome Sanda on the label for the first edition of the “New Generation Series”. This young producer from the south-east of France grew up fully immersed in reggae, thanks to her father Meekman, renoun nyabinghi percussion maker, and her Godfatther producer I-Tist. She started producing from young and quickly developped her music skills. Today, armed with her Roland MC-505 she smashes out heavy UK stepper influcenced dubs.
When Sanda’s tunes reached Rico O.B.F’s ears in 2020 he was instantly seduced. He immediately got the idea of creating a new project called the “New Generation Series”, a series of releases focussed on putting a spotlight on the next generation of producers. After a few phone calls with Sanda they arranged a studio session. After three days of experimenting, arranging and mixing at the Dubquake Studio they finaly walked out with two tracks: African and Lockdown.
This is our first 10” release on Dubquake Records and we’re proud of having the badman Kazy Usclef do the artwork. Produced by Sanda, mixed by Rico O.B.F, the “New Generation Series” is launched!
