The Killa Sound crew is back with, as usual, an unnamed producer serving up a delicious duo of deep dub delights. First up is ‘Ice Cream (dub)’, which drips with melted synths and liquid pads that disappear off to an infinite horizon. The drums gently trundle onwards with a vocal miles up above, drifting by like a wispy cloud. The flipside is a much more full-bodied sound with a rhythm designed to propel you forwards as well as ever deeper down below the surface. It’s an authentic take on the original blueprint fused with Basic Channel-style smokiness. Two classy and introspective excursions.
